Erciyes: Turkey's Ski Mountain Next to the Airport
Erciyes Ski Resort sits on the slopes of Mount Erciyes, an extinct volcano and the highest peak in Central Anatolia. What makes it unusual is how close it is to an international airport: from Kayseri Erkilet Airport you can be at the slopes in well under an hour.
The resort has four entry points: Tekir, Hisarcık, Hacılar and Develi. Most hotels, the gondola and ski rental shops are around Tekir Gate, so that is where most of our ski transfers go. If your hotel is at another gate, tell us when you book.
The ski season usually runs from December to March, depending on snowfall. Many visitors combine a few days of skiing with a trip to Cappadocia, which is about 1.5 hours away by car.

The drive from Kayseri Erkilet Airport to Erciyes Ski Resort is about 30 km to Tekir Gate. The route goes south past Kayseri city and then climbs the mountain road toward the resort. In clear conditions it takes 35 to 45 minutes; after heavy snowfall, allow extra time.
Which Gate Is My Hotel At?
Most visitors stay near Tekir Gate, where the gondola, rental shops and the largest group of hotels are. Hisarcık, Hacılar and Develi gates have their own lifts and a smaller number of hotels. Send us your hotel name when you book and we will confirm the right gate and the time.

Kayseri's public transport runs buses toward Erciyes, but schedules are limited and are built for day skiers from the city, not for flight times.
